Memorial Day is a time for reflection, gratitude, and contemplation of peace. Reflection on our lives. How we as a nation have managed the pandemic. What sacrifices we have had to make. How we have responded and managed the challenges. It is also an opportunity to feel gratitude for all the men and women who have put their lives on the line so that we may be safe and have our freedom ensured. Our military, the police, firefighters, all the first responders, doctors, nurses, and crew of healthcare providers that have worked tirelessly to be on the front lines of danger. They are true heros. All the food banks that have provided nourishment for those who otherwise would have gone hungry. Our country has stood up to the challenge. We can find peace in that.
